at the pool

The pool opened up this weekend and we were there.

Sprite met up with a couple of girl buddies.  Apparently, I got a little crazy with my phone app special effects.  It's really hard to tell on my tiny screen!

It was so cold, though, this adult gladly sat out in the sun!

This might be one of my favorites from the day.....so happy and free, running in the pool!  Our lifeguards never whistle the WALK, DON'T RUN to anyone like they did when I was a kid.  You would barely get a little skip in and that darn whistle was hollering away, embarrassing you to death.

We were also back at the pool yesterday with friends, getting waaaay too rosy-cheeked.  Adam finally cracked the mystery as to why the kids are getting so much sun on their cheeks (I use 50 spf every hour or so).  Both Sprite and Scamp wipe their faces off the second they come up for air.  Every.single.time.  I've threatened to use the pure white zinc ozide all over their faces if they don't stop.  Think it will work?

What do you do to keep your kids safe in the sun?

Completely random note, but super cool:  PicMonkey has come out with their collage!  If you haven't checked them out, you should.  If you were a fan of Picnic and haven't found PicMonkey yet, do so now.  Now!
