I drove afternoon carpool Wednesday afternoon. It was a beautiful day in Vail. The sun was out, the sky was blue, and it was warm.
It was about 20 minutes before the kids would be dismissed when I got there and I had brought a book to enjoy. Puck was enjoying playing with his cars in the warm sun.
I saw Scamp's class come out of the building about five minutes later. His teacher was carrying a large mesh container. We decided to follow them to the field. They were letting their long-awaited butterflies go, and we were there to witness it!
Out they came, one by one.
